Then I Met You, On The Pitch (photography)
Henri Cartier-Bresson’s concept of the ‘Decisive Moment’ refers to the point in time when the elements align to create a compelling photograph.

The idea involves capturing the exact moment when a scene’s action, composition, and lighting are at their peak, creating an image that conveys a story with a single shot. It emphasises observation and intuition within photography, implying the photographer moves with and waits for the ‘right’ moment to capture an image.

The technique visually communicates the essence of sports which inherently involves dynamic action and movement. By capturing images with intentional blur, the photographs convey a sense of motion.

I also believed capturing aspects surrounding the team was important for context when created into a publication, it allows the viewer to have more context of the community.
