Then I Met You, On The Pitch
'Then I Met You, On The Pitch' is a Communication Design collaborative book project by Graphics student Josh Hale, and Lens-Based student Rose Smith. The publication explores the community created by a football team in Year 4, Sculpture and Environmental Art at The Glasgow School of Art. The photography, design and technical aspects of the publication explore a broader social context, bringing to light undocumented aspects of the team.
Much of the inspiration for the book’s design came from old football programmes. The use of the Risograph printer closely reflects this visual language as well as portraying the tactile nature of the team.
